(sorry for the long post...hahaha)
Anyway, it was my first time out to Crossfire (I was with the group of guys on the UN team), and I'm really impressed with the layout ...lots of land, and a great setup. I really dig the airball bunkers/tires/skids scattered all over, it really helps to vary the available cover. It was kind of a long drive for me (from the west side of Cincy), but I'm definitely gonna play again in the future, it was tons of fun.
That being said, I thought that our team did have an advantage with our guns because we could keep our distance and use our flatlines and apex barrels to literally bombard you guys. Sorry for the slight confrontation we had concerning our response triggers, we're just used to showing up and playing with what you have, not finding a level playing ground. I really hand it to everyone who came out yesterday, you guys took alot of losses and still kept it clean and fun, which is the whole reason I play. I realize that some days you're gonna win, and other days you're gonna lose, and yesterday just happened to be our day.
I've been playing with this group for a little over a year and we've gotten to know each other's styles, which I think really helped...we're almost a team in a technical sense; we have some leaders who can point things out, and we have guys like me who don't mind taking orders and seeing what happens.
I'd be really interested to see a game only on the lower field, or speedball field, where the distance wasn't so much of a problem...I think that would've made things more interesting.
So to make a long story short, I think I speak for our whole group in saying that we had a good time, and we'll probably make it out there again someday soon.
