I only have one thing to say about this. My ION works perfect because I take care of it and Kevin your timmy craped out on you last sunday and we didn't even play. Gregs Iron Man Timmy would blow the hose every time it aired up. Don Don's Dark Timmy has a prob with the LPR. Mikes 2k2 went on a rampage when you pulled the trigger. Andrew got his Timmy flashed and fried the board. Do I need to go on. The only prob I've ever seen out of a ION is owner operator malfunction, like throwing you ION and complaning that it doesn't work any more. KEEP YOU GUN CLEAN AND MAINTAINED AND IT WILL LAST YOU A LIFE TIME. That goes for any gun. You can't just say smart parts guns have problems when all paintball guns do. Ask Bryce he has a perfectly good working Impulse for sall for only 350.00

I had an Ion and it worked fine for about 3 months then the board crapped out on me so I sent it back and got a new board and then that board broke (note I used the new board one time before it broke) and then the reg broke so I got all new stuff for it and I was like screw this its to much money to keep this thing alive so i got it working and sold it. I kept it clean and everything but yet it still took alot of money to keep it alive, so point is its a good gun if you have the money to repair it, but besides that they just suck

again besides upgrades the only money that I have put into my ION is 5.00 for a banjo fitting that I broke by tightening it to much. I even take my noid apart to degrease it. you will not find a better ION in this area. It may just be that I have a first run IOn and I am the first person in this area to buy one. It wasn't even on the shelf yet.

well its not a matter of smart part guns being shatty.. its their owners. closed bolt guns, matrixes, ions, shockers, etc.. requiree alot of maintenence as far aslubing and internal o rings go most owners however neglect to do so aftrer using. they shoot then throw it in their bag..

thats just what I say the owner determines the performance of the gun. I clean and re lube all of the orings in my gun. I don't care how long practice took or how tired I am once I get home my gun is taken apart cleaned and lubed. It's good for you and its good for the gun. The gun stays in new condition and you learn your gun inside and out. Even in the off season I take my gun apart to keep familiar with it.
